Alleged Screenshots Of LG G3 Points To QHD resolution

LG G3 release date: After the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia Z2 were announced at MWC in Barcelona, consumers are looking toward upcoming flagship releases from HTC and LG, particularly the All New One and the G3. As for the latter, we have been hearing rumors about a much bigger screen, as well as higher resolution.

According to a report by GSM Arena, a couple of alleged leaked screenshots of the device show that it would indeed have QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution. If so, then it would successfully beat other known brands in the screen resolution race.
However, we should also remember that the both the Sony Xperia Z2 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 were tipped to get the crisp screen resolution as well. We expected the best, but it turned out both devices just have Full HD (1920 x 1080), which isn't bad at all.
Dubbed as the LG D850, the upcoming G3 flagship device is expected to be launched on May 17, according to rumors. The date may be self-explanatory since the G Pro 2 just launched and the Korean company does not want to pit both devices in a slugfest of sorts.
Meanwhile, the other high-end we're rooting for is the All New One from HTC. It may not promise to give an out-of-this-world viewing experience, but its specs and the promising dual UltraPixel cameras are interesting to see.
