Xolo Q1100 fights it out with Moto G

The Indian domestic market for smartphones, as of now, is one of the hottest prospects in the planet. And while the market, over the last few years, has been targeted by a number of big names such as Samsung and Apple, it is also interesting to see how domestic names such as Micromax and Xolo have also tried their hands on the potential thats within the market.

The idea is clear in this respect - and one that also falls in place with Indian customers looking to invest in a new smartphone: To offer the maximum possible specifications at the lowest range possible. And now with a host of such domestic companies offering devices that usually range between 13k and 15k, it may seem like big name companies might find it difficult to cope with the competition since foreign-made devices hardly come that cheap.

Indian smartphone vendor XOLO is getting ready to launch a new Android smartphone, which it plans to pitch against Motorola’s Moto G. Dubbed as XOLO Q1100, the phone will be priced at INR 14,999, revealed a product listing on the company’s official website.

XOLO Q1100 is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, it is the same processor, which is present in Moto G. Among other specifications, Q1100 features 5-inch 720p HD display, 1GB of RAM, dual-SIM support and 8GB of internal storage. The phone also packs microSD card slot for storage expansion, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera.

While on paper XOLO Q1100 certainly looks like a better offering but there are many reasons why one should go for Moto G like better software support including KitKat update, lesser price-tag and seemingly better looking device with customisation options. If you want a bigger screen and non-expandable storage is a big concern for you then Q1100 seems like a decent option.
