Galaxy S5 cloned - Goophone S5

The Galaxy S5 was just announced on Monday, but that’s not stopping GooPhone from already unveiling a clone of it. For those who don’t know, GooPhone is known for ripping off the designs of various Android and Apple devices.
The GooPhone S5 looks nearly identical to the real thing, which may be a good or bad thing depending on how you feel about the Galaxy S5. Under the hood we find very different specs from the GS5 such as a 2GHz MediaTek 6592 octa-core CPU. Other specs include 2GB RAM, a 5-inch 1080p display, a 13MP cam with LED flash, 5MP front-cam, 2800 mAh battery, dual-SIM support, 32GB, microSD, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, 3G support and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
For what it is, the specs aren’t too shabby considering the price is just $300, though you do end up with a MediaTek CPU instead of Snapdragon, and obviously you don’t get the fingerprint reader or the heart rate monitor. It’s also important to note that the handset doesn’t truly exist just yet, and is currently listed out of stock, as it obviously hasn’t even gone into production.
Will anyone buy it? Probably. While most techie-types probably would avoid a knock-off device that’s based on a handset that already has mixed reception, the real target are non-tech-savvy individuals that want to have the same looking phone as the rest of the crowd, without paying the full price.
