50,000 Xiaomi Redmi Note units go ‘out of stock’ in six seconds


After the Mi 3 and Redmi 1s, Xiaomi and Flipkart had put up the highly anticipated Redmi Note on sale. As expected, the Redmi Note has been swept off the store shelves in mere seconds. Those who’ve managed to buy the device will have to make the payment before 6PM today. The 3G dual-SIM variant of the Redmi Note is now available and priced at Rs 8,999. The 4G variant priced at Rs 9,999 is expected to be available from mid-December.

The Redmi Note has a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display. It boasts of 1.7GHz MediaTek octa-core processor, which we’ve seen on the HTC Desire 616 and Micromax Canvas Knight. It features a healthy 2GB of RAM, making it one of the cheapest smartphones with 2GB of RAM.

Other specs include 8GB onboard storage, microSD card slot up to 32GB, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter for selfies and 3100mAh battery. It runs Xiaomi’s MIUI OS.
